Alaina Lockhart, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, today announced $20,200 from the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) for improvements to the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame located in Petitcodiac.
The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
This project will support updates to the Motorsports Hall of Fame, museum and parking lot. Work includes renovations to the kitchen area to meet building codes, upgrades inside the museum and improvements to the existing parking area.
The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of all motorsports in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
The CIP 150 Program is providing up to $300 million nationally over two years to support projects to rehabilitate, renovate and expand community and recreational infrastructure as part of the Government of Canada’s activities to honour Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.
